Obituary of Kenneth C. Wilson

Kenneth C. Wilson Age 87, formerly of Kennett Square, PA, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday December 13, 2016. He was born in Cumberland, Maryland January 25, 1929 to the late Edith (Chalmers) and Andrew Wilson. Beloved father of Susan (Ronald) Duhon, the late Kenneth C. Wilson, Jr. (1985), Timothy (Linda) Wilson, Stephen (Cindy) Wilson, Katherine (Michael) Vicario and Christine (Jeff) Armstrong. Proud grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 8. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his son and parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Wilson, Jr. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer, enjoying a rewarding career with DuPont, All American Engineering and Hercules (formerly Allegheny Ballistics). Ken possessed a warm spirit and a methodical mind. He was an accomplished custom home builder who restored an airplane, a model "T" and a John Deere tractor with precision. He sang in many choirs and also formerly had an apple orchard. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 17, 2016 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Rt. 6 (at Deerpath Dr.) in Morris, where visitation will occur from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date, back home near Cumberland, where Ken will join his beloved son at Hillcrest Burial Park.
