Linda Rae Baltz
Age 70, of Shorewood, passed away suddenly, January 2, 2017 at her home.
Linda was born September 9, 1946, the daughter of Gilbert and Florence (Perdelwitz) Tribley. She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University and taught seven years for Troy School District. She later joined the Will County Sheriff's Department where she served 20 years as a Deputy Sheriff in various capacities.
Linda loved being with her family and friends, and was an avid collector and Chicago Bears fan. In recent years, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends and pool parties. She will be remembered for her love of the holidays and her beautifully decorated home at Christmas.
Surviving are her daughter, Jamie (Mark) Herzberger of Channahon; one son, Adam (Gail) Baltz of Shorewood; four grandchildren, Ashley (Danny) Butler, Rachel and Blake Herzberger, and Nikki (Emory) Atterberry; two great-grandchildren, Izaiah and Nevaeh Galarza; her mother, Florence Tribley of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Mark Tribley of Carbondale and Craig (Jenya) Tribley of San Antonio; and one nephew, Alexander Tribley.
Preceded by her father, Gilbert Tribley.
Funeral Services for Linda Baltz will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Southfield Church, 24557 W. Eames St. (one mile west of I-55, on south side of Eames/Route 6), Channahon, IL where visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Minooka, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Southfield Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Fred C.
