Age 91. At rest Friday, January 20, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family after a 10 year battle with alzheimers disease. Born January 17, 1926 in Rockdale, IL to Frank and Mary (nee Vadich) Dolinshek. She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and playing bridge with the Bridge Club. Retired from JEMCO Engineering. Dolores was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minooka.
Survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John M. McDonald; her children, Terry (Beth), Mary Kay (Mike) Theis, Tim (Cindy), and Tom (Donna); proud grandmother of twelve, Michelle (Kellen) Walker, Megan (John) Goolsby, Jake (Mandy) Theis, Erin (Justin) Knapp, Ryne Theis, Timmy (Rhea-Ann), Melissa (Adam) Bell, Joel (fiance Linnea Leonard), Danny (Jenny) Peterson, Luke, Katelyn, and Lindsey McDonald; great-grandmother of thirteen; sister, Ann Quiqley; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marie Kuban, Bernadine O'Connor, and Terrie Peterson; brother-in-laws, Francis Quiqley, Ben Kuban, Ray O'Connor, and Pete Peterson.
Funeral Services for Dolores Lillian McDonald will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Minooka, IL where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Minooka, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
