Obituary of Mary Ann Shinneman

Mary Ann Shinneman, (nee Sila), age 84, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility, Naperville. Born February 17, 1932 in Joliet, she was the daughter of Anton and Anna (Malaker) Sila. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Surviving are her four children, Rick (Marla Johnson) Shinneman of Wilmington, Renee (William) Pagel of Camarillo, CA, Raymond (Richell) Shinneman of Berwyn, and Ronda of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren, Rex Shinneman, Guy Shinneman, Rachel and Paul; one great-grandson, Gionni; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Sheridan Shinneman (June 8, 2004); her parents; one sister, Pauline (Claude) Gordon; and one brother, Anton "Tony" Sila. Cremation rites have been accorded and services with entombment of her urn at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Fred C. Dames Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
