Obituary of Joyce M. Burke

Joyce M. Burke (nee Baldazzi) Age 73. Passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous fight with Leukemia. Born on February 14, 1943 in Joliet, IL to the late Amerigo and Florine (nee Giannone) Baldazzi. Residing in Crest Hill Illinois, she was a graduate of Lockport High School. Joyce loved to travel, and enjoyed her trips to California. Spending time with her family was the most important to her, especially her grandchildren, whom she had a special bond with. Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Edward; her children, Janice (Donald) Fox of Crest Hill, Mike (Maria) Burke of Bakersfield, CA and Jennifer (Joshua) Hubbard of Plainfield, IL; one brother, Lawrence (Toni) Baldazzi of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Mary Lou (Ronald) Stimac of Wausau, WI; grandchildren, Michael R. Fox, Jared M. Burke, Madison M. Hubbard and Christian M. Hubbard; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friend, Maureen Crump. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, IL until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. As it was her wish, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to be used at the discretion of her family would be appreciated.
