Although I did not know Joe while serving with the 1st/83rd in Vietnam, my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting and enjoying diner with Joe and Michele at our reunion in 2014 in Branson, MO. Had a great time. Our condolences to the family

I didn't know Joe personally but was a member of the Australian Artillery at Nui Dat, just up the road a little from 1/83rd. I'm always saddened to hear of a fellow veteran and artilleryman's departure and my heartfelt condolences go to those who love him. May the Holy Spirit bring you comfort and healing.

Joe and I were in Vietnam together in 1966-67. We were part of the 1st Battalion 83rd Artillery. On behalf of myself and the entire 1/83rd Family, I want to send our Condolences to Michele and the rest of Joe's family, may be rest in peace.
