Rogelio "Jesse" Rodriguez
Age 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017, at Presence St.Joseph Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Currently residing in Joliet. Rogelio was born and raised in Chicago, IL on January 24, 1930 to the late Miguel and Dolores (nee Canales) Rodriguez. Decorated Korean War Veteran, USMC. Retired employee of the CTA, member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM). Long standing and proud member of the VFW, Post 2199.
Preceded in death by his parents and his son, Frank Ontiveros,
Survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (nee Savala), of 47 years; Proud father of Roger (Rachell), William (Dawn) and James (Dawn) Rodriguez, Joe (Debbie) Ontiveros, John (Eva) Ontiveros, Mary Munoz, Linda and Rick Rodriguez. Devoted grandfather of Jacob, Sabrina, Sarah, Gavin, Aiden, Shannon, Laura, Patricia, Michelle, John Jr., Cindy, Joe, Christine, A.J., Jennifer, Matthew, Maricella, Michael, the late Gabriella and Athena. Great-Grandfather of Domenique, Xavier, Leslie, Matthew, Josephine, Alex, Santos, Maya, Willow, Isabella and Bianca. Great-great grandfather of Isabella and Tony. Loving brother of Alice, Lena, Tony, Mary, Don, Virginia, Mike, Patricia, Florence and Bob. Fond uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Rogelio Jesse Rodriguez will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, IL to St Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial to take place at 12:00 p.m. noon. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery where full military honors will be held under the auspices of the United States Marine Corps.
