Obituary of John Charles Miller

John Charles Miller "Jack" Age 63, of Minooka, IL and formerly Joliet, IL, passed peacefully at home Wednesday February 8, 2017. He was born on October 20, 1953 to the late Janet and John A. Miller in Trenton, New Jersey and was raised in Cocoa Beach, FL, a graduate of Cocoa Beach High School. He had also resided in Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia. Survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Debra Lynn (nee Baker) Miller; children, John Emerson (Carolyn) Miller I, Dana Miller, Joseph (Sylwia) Miller and Heather (Kevin) Barrett; grandchildren, Victoria, Christopher, Adrianna, Blake, Jayden, Tyler and Liam; brothers, Gerald "Jerry" (Susan) of Tampa, FL, Jeffrey (Janice) of Santiago, Chile, Joseph (Pam) of Columbia, SC. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his parents. Jack was a retired Welder having spent over 20 years at Caterpillar Inc. and was also self-employed with AFA Inspections a family owned Mortgage Inspection company. He enjoyed fishing with his grandkids, camping, traveling, dining and cooking. A Chicago Bulls and Bears fan who always looked forward to attending a game from time to time. He will most fondly be remembered as an extremely proud grandpa and family man. As it was his wish, cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Gathering is being planned for June 3, 2017.
