Obituary of Leo D. Ceci

Leo D. Ceci Age 86, of Joliet, IL, passed away Friday February 10, 2017 at Salem Village. He was born February 8, 1931 to the late Genevieve (nee Lance) and Edward Ceci. Survived by his children, Tami (Pat) Gremillion, Cindy (Bill) Pelton, James, Michael and Brian Ceci; grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley), Sean, Heather (Mike), Brandi, Damien, Mona, Amber (Ray), Nicole (Zachary), and Eric; great-grandchildren, Halle, Myleigh, Noah, Gracie, Sophie, Lexi and Savannah; siblings, Richard (Dorothy), Edward and Patricia; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Joan (nee Bates); daughter, Debbie in infancy; grandson, Eddie; parents, Edward and Genevieve; and sister, Shirley. Leo worked at Caterpillar for 30 years. He was an avid Cubs fan who enjoyed bowling and playing cards with his family. He was also a busy hand for the Joliet Deaf Club with whom he was Vice-President and always an active member. A Memorial Gathering for Leo Ceci will be held Tuesday February 14, 2017, from 2 p.m. until the service begins at 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. As it was Leo's wish, cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name preferred.
