Obituary of Donna M. Berrospe

Donna M. Berrospe (nee Jankowski) Age 59, of Shorewood, IL and a former Chicago resident, passed away peacefully,Wednesday February 22, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL after battling multiple health issues. She was born February 21, 1959 to Lois (nee Stevenson) and the late Norbert Jankowski in Chicago where she was raised and educated. Donna was the beloved wife of 40 years to Jose "Frank" Berrospe; loving mother of Nicole (Brian) Lanzot, Mark (Lisa) Berrospe, Kristen (Jose) Cielo; proud nana of Dezirae, Nate and Arianna; devoted daughter of Lois Jankowski; dear sister of Janice (Mike) Berrospe and Jeannette (Fred) Huron; fond aunt of several nieces and nephews and cherished God mother of JoAnn, Sarah and Ruben. Preceded in death by her father Norbert; two daughters in infancy, Amy and Donna; one brother, Paul Jankowski and one sister, Karen Jankowski. Donna was employed in retail sales, having worked at Butera, GFS and Toys R Us. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, reading and observing dolphins. A fan of the Green Bay Packers and her beloved Cubbies, she thoroughly enjoyed "flying the W" this past post season. Although her family will miss her "open arms" they will always remember her strength, courage, love and the occasional hint of stubbornness. "May the Lord grant you eternal rest". Visitation for Donna Berrospe will be held Friday February 24, 2017 from 3 - 8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) in Joliet, IL. A prayer service and remembrances will conclude the evening at approximately 7:45 p.m. As it was Donna's wish, cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation and her final earthly remains will be interred at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donna's name can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Gift of Hope.
