Obituary of Rose M. Kambic Guardia

Rose Kambic Guardia Age 92, died on Friday, February 24, 2017 in Bradenton, Florida with Joe, her loving husband at her side. Born in Crest Hill, Illinois her life consisted of hard work and devotion to family and friends. She will be remembered for her contagious smile, always positive attitude and willingness to help others. While raising her family Rose completed school and opened a beauty shop in her home where she worked for over 50 years before retiring in her 80’s. Many of her clients remain friends to this day. After the early death of her first husband Rose remarried and shared eleven loving years with Joe. Rose is survived by her husband Carl “Joe” Guardia; sons, David Kambic (Carl Mandenberg), Carl (Barbara) Guardia and Dennis (Patti) Guardia; daughter-in-law, Karen Kambic Sinnot; nine grandchildren, Zachary (Susan) Kambic, Jennifer (Jason) Kojro-Badziak, Lucas Kambic, Laura (Scott) Thornton, Geri Guardia, Carl (Elizabeth) Guardia, Valerie Guardia (Holly Hayes), Erin Guardia and Andy (Joy) Guardia, and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Congeta “Connie” (Julius) Kustra,; sister-in-law, Rosa Ciancanelli and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, Edward S. Kambic (1998); two sons, Donald and Dennis Kambic; her parents, Nazzarino and Eugenia “Jennie” (nee Gentile) Ciancanelli; brother, Paul Ciancanelli; three sisters, Edith Lolli, Lea Ciancanelli and Palma Waloszyk. Funeral services for Rose M. Guardia will be held Friday March 3, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet, to St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Mary Nativity Cemetery will be private.
