Beatrice L. Dalton
(nee Jackson)
Age 86. Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Born in Regina-Saskatchewan, Canada, she was a long time Joliet area resident, who resided in Michigan after retirement, returning to Joliet in 2001.
Preceded in death by her husband, Emmett J. Dalton (1985); her son, Kevin (1970); her sister, Kathleen George.
Survived by two daughters, Kathleen "Tia" Ashley of Joliet and Diane (Anton) Kaye of Lemont; two sons, John Dalton of Seattle, WA and James (Barbara) Dalton of Joliet; 14 grandchildren, Shannon Schager and Emmett Ashley; K. Rusty, Tim, Patrick, John and Daniel Dalton; James II and Anna Dalton; A.J. and Elliott Kaye, Colleen Lieberstein; Brendan and Kathleen Kaye; proud great-grandmother of nine; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
She had a passion for flying, being one of the first female aviators. She crop dusted and could be considered a barnstormer in the late 1930's. As a young woman, her spirit of adventure took her to unique places near and far.
All friends and relatives are invited to gather on Thursday October 25, 2007 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 N. Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery. Arrangements by:
