Obituary of Patricia A. Gladkowski

Patricia A. Gladkowski, (nee Keener), age 83, a lifelong Joliet and Channahon area resident, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Bullhead City, AZ after bravely battling health issues for several years. Born February 26, 1934 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Clemens and Bessie (Booth) Keener. In 1951, she married Stephen Joseph Gladkowski, and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage until his passing October 16, 2006. Pat retired from Joliet Wrought Washer Company after 25 years of service. Surviving are her beloved children, Denise (John) Warmouth of Channahon, Barb (Jim) Price of Arizona, Alex Gladkowski of Missouri and Cheryl (Kirk) Wood of Glendale Heights; and her loving grandchildren Vanessa (Brook) Bearden, Melanie (Dennis) Thompson, Emily Warmouth, Lee (Sarah) Price, Eric Price and Anna Price, and her brother Phillip Keener. She was also a wonderful great-grandmother to Reggie Price, Abby Bailey and Benjamin Price. Also a fond Aunt Patsy to many and a pet mom to her dear friend Pudge. Preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and brothers Robert and Cecil Keener. Pat never met a stranger and will always be remembered for her generous spirit, kindness to all and her love of family. She always found a way to encourage and inspire others and her smile was always present. A Memorial Gathering for Patricia Gladkowski will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home Chapel, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL 60431. Private inurnment services will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
