I knew Lou during his Morton East days. We were hired the same year. I received a phone call the day I was hired. It was from Lou. He wanted to introduce himself to me before we started the school year. I remember the call as if it were yesterday. I was 35 years old and entering my first year as a teacher. I was terrified until that phone call. I graduated college 12 years prior to receiving the Morton job and needless to say, I was rusty. Lou told me that I would be fine, and he was right. We shared a classroom for three years. Lou was always available to share calming and positive advise. I remember the first time I met him in person. He shook my hand as if we were friends our whole lives. He helped me become a good teacher, and he will be missed. Love you Lou!!!

Dear Kuk Family,
Mr. Kuk was my football coach at Lemont HS from 1968-1970. I always admired him and learned a lot from him. I am in my 42nd year of teaching and I can say that Mr. Kuk had a profound influence on my life. He taught me about always giving my best and striving hard for individual and team goals. he will be missed. Pat Quinn
