D'Atri, Anthony R.
"Tony"
Age 88. Passed away Friday, November 23, 2012, Tony Peacefully joined his eternal family in Heaven, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Joliet to the late Paul and Carmella (Alberico) D'Atri, he was a lifelong resident. Graduate of Joliet Township High School, Class of 1941. A WWII U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Philippines and New Guinea. Formerly employed by Olin (Blockson) Chemical, Mobil Oil Refinery, Northern Illinois Gas, Grundy Area Vocational Center and Joliet Junior College. Member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
Survived by his children, Kathleen (Curtis) McCune, Pat (Lori) D'Atri, Debra (George) Hasler, and Michael (John Bailey) D'Atri; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey (Rosie) McCune, Anthony McCune, Christopher D'Atri, Matthew D'Atri, Nicole (Mark) Mizell, Michelle (Scott) Green, Jennifer (Bryan) DeBourge, and Sarah (Scott) Errichetto; four great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Abigail, and Emily McCune, Lily DeBourge and two on the way; one brother, Joseph (Helen) D'Atri; brother-in- law of Edith D'Atri and Patricia D'Atri; numerous neices and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Edna "Sandy" (nee Brown) D'Atri (December 31, 2010); infant son, Tony; parents; one sister, Amelia (Francis) Brooks; two brothers, Chester and Ernest D'Atri.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Tony's caregivers, Ann, Chris and Crystal and the staff of Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Funeral Services for Tony D'Atri will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, 2-8 p.m. at:
