Age 101.  Passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center.  Born in Joliet on December 20, 1915 and a lifetime Crest Hill resident.  Member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Crest Hill.

Surviving are her two daughters, Mary Jo Yack of Joliet and Melanie (John) Peterson of Crest Hill; four grandchildren, Jeffrey, and Jana Yack, Jennifer (Pete) Taylor and Nicole (Mike) Ziroli; great-grandchildren, Noah Taylor, Johnny and Lila Ziroli; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank T. Berta; her parents, Joseph and Mary (Gregurich) Mance; one grandson, Jon Yack; sisters, Mary Mance, Anna (the late John) Senffner and Danica (the late Joseph) Zulich; and brothers, Oscar, Frank and Joseph Mance.  

As it was Josephine's wish, Cremation Rites have been accorded.  There will be no formal services and interment will be private.  Memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Waterstone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
