Age 84. Passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at The Timbers of Shorewood. Born in Lockport, IL and a lifetime area resident. Virginia and her late husband, Robert, owned and operated Bob's Amoco Service Station and later a Food Shop on West Jefferson Street for many years. She was a member of the Pinochle Club that she and her friends started in 1955. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and also attended a "Rusty Hinges" Arthritis Class for over 20 years at the Briggs Street "Y".
Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert (2000); her parents, Ralph and Florence Hoehn; brother, Ralph (Mary Jane) Hoehn; brother-in-law, Richard (Kristina) Lusciatti and sisters-in-law, Beverly (Leonard) Haberkorn and Janet (the late Robert) Grenchik.
She is survived by four daughters, Kathleen Van Riper (Tom), Jeanne Quenga (Ken), Lynn (Mike) Sonnack, and Lisa (Bill) Centano; grandchildren, Sally (Darick) Trulson, Nathan (Christina) Hockett, Paul Quenga, Rachel (Eddie) Aguilar and Emily Blatnicky; step-grandchildren, Becky (David) Paige, Ryan Sonnack, Billy Centano and Lauren (Dave) Mola; great-grandchildren, Layla, Lana, Ryder, Jaxson, Ben and David. Two brothers, Louis (Diane) Hoehn and Albert (late Paula) Hoehn; two sisters, Betty (Charles) Jacobucci and Doris Ann Curry; sister-in-law, Carol (Anthony) Fazio and long time friend, Inez Tezak.
Funeral Services for Virginia Lusciatti will be Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Woodlawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Parkinsons Foundation would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
