James M. Snyder
Age 69 of Morris, IL. At Rest Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. Born November 29, 1947 to the late Olga (nee Kocolowski) and Albert Snyder, Sr. in Joliet where he was raised and educated. Jim was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving as a Paratrooper during the Vietnam War. Jim worked at the steel mill until its closure then worked in the real estate industry. A devout Catholic contributing to the Catholic Church in several capacities.
He was the beloved brother of Albert J. Snyder, Jr., Arlette (Lawrence) Seppi, and Steven (Virginia) Snyder; fond uncle of Christina Seppi, Andrew (Kathleen) Seppi, Andrea (Tony) Pfieffer, Elizabeth (Tony) Elder, Caroline (Lawrence) Carls, Joseph and Daniel Snyder; brother-in-law, Richard Butler. He is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Patricia Snyder and Mary Butler.
Funeral Services for James M. Snyder will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris to St. Ann Catholic Church in Channahon, IL where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. Visitation Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until time of services.
