Joseph L. Parks
"Junior"

Age 85. At rest Monday, May 22, 2017 at The Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born and raised in Joliet, the son of the late Joseph R. and Helen (nee Clark) Parks. he was a lifelong resident. A retired Teamster with Local #179. Formerly employed by Scheik Motor Express for 38 years.

Surviving are his ten children, Joanne (the late Thomas) Booble, Bonnie (Sam) Bucciarelli, Connie (the late Michael) Vaughn, Judy Meurer-Temen, Richard (Karen) Parks, Dale Parks, Karen Aanerud, Debra  Turner, Joseph (Margie) Parks and Ronald Parks; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren with one on the way; one sister, Jean (the late William) Martin; two brothers, Rich (the late June) Parks and Donald (Karen) Parks; very special friend of the family Bill Schenold; his brother-n-law, Ron Kempke. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded by his loving wife of 66 years, Florence E. (nee Wanzer) Parks; one sister Bonnie Kempke; one brother Charlie Parks.

Funeral Services for Joseph L. Parks will be Friday, May 26, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at The Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Private interment Elmhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 4:00 p.m. until time of services.
