Arthur F. Rigoni

Arthur F. Rigoni age 90 Formerly of Rockdale, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet.  He was born in Joliet and a lifelong area resident.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Sr. and Mae Rigoni, and his brother Fred “Fritz” Rigoni (2017).  Also preceded in death by his special lady, Frances Nelli (March 23, 2017).
He is survived by three children, three grandchildren, two nieces, and several cousins.  Also survived by Fran’s loving family, including Artie’s special caregivers Sherrie and Gordene, Fran’s daughters.  

A proud WWII US Army veteran serving in the 11th Airborne Division.  He retired from Crane Composites.   He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale, the Paulites, the Senior Association Club at St. Joe’s Park, Moose Lodge #300 and the American Legion Harwood Post # 5.  He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan and also enjoyed fishing for many years.  Artie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  

Funeral services for Arthur F. Rigoni will be held on Tuesday June 13, 2017 from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., at 9:45 to the St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.  As it was Arthur's request Cremation Rites have been accorded. Interment will be Resurrection Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded under the auspices of the United States Army.  Memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.  Visitation will be TUESDAY MORNING from 8 a.m. until time of services.
