William “Bill” Brucker, Jr., age 65, son of the late William and Mary (nee Cudihy) Brucker, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2017.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Ava R. (nee Ruttenberg) Brucker, and his adoring children, Jason W. and Heather A. Brucker. Bill was a proud dog dad and friend to many.
“Pappa B” to many, Bill had a magnetic personality and an incredible sense of humor. To know him was to love him. He was an avid reader and lover of pancakes and motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Julie Brucker.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and social workers at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home for their care and compassion.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
