Luke Michael Oman

On July 5, 2017 Heaven was in need of an angel and Luke Michael Oman was called. Luke was with us on this earth only twelve short hours. We knew a few weeks prior that there may be complications due to a heart condition, but had hoped and prayed things would be different. Luke leaves behind many who love him.

He is survived by his parents, Kevin J. and Melissa (nee Van Auken) Oman of Cary, IL; his big sister, Layla Oman; maternal grandmother, Patricia Van Auken of Channahon; maternal grandfather, Don Van Auken of Crest Hill; paternal grandparents, Michael and Sharon Oman of Valparaiso, IN; two aunts, Kristen (Paul) Skrzypczynski and Sarah Van Auken; three uncles, Randy (Rhonda), Jon and Erik Oman; three cousins; and paternal great grandmother, Dolores Pazdro also survives.

Preceded in death by his maternal great Popou and Yia Yia Angelo and Irene (nee Calamaras) Aggelopoulos with who Luke is laid to rest next to at Woodlawn Cemetery. Also he is preceded by his paternal great grandparents Helen and Lenard Oman, Robert Pazdro, and maternal great grandparents, Thomas and Allison (nee McLaughlin) Van Auken.

As it was the family's request, an intimate gathering and funeral services were held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet with Fr. Stephen Bithos officiating.
