Mildred E. Deer
(nee Wagner)
Age 99. Passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Provena Villa Franciscan. Born in Cuba, IL, she was raised in Kingston Mines and lived in Canton and Peoria until coming to Joliet in 1980. Formerly employed by Princess Peggy Dress Company of Peoria, IL. Member of Cantigny Post VFW #367 Ladies Auxiliary, Joliet.
Survived by two daughters, Joan (Harry) Cobourn of Joliet and Sharon (late Dale) Potter of Joliet; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Patricia Fidler of Canton, IL.
Preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Deer (1980); two sons, Charles "Bill" Deer and Eugene Wagner; and one brother, Robert Wagner.
Graveside services for Mildred E. Deer will be Monday, March 2, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Kingston Mines Cemetery in Kingston Mines, IL. Visitation Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 3-6 p.m. at:
