Obituary of Edna I. Albright
Edna I Albright, (nee Correll), age 91, a long time resident of Crest Hill, IL passed away peacefully, Thursday September 7, 2017 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home.
Born November 26, 1925 in Rankin, IL, to the late Muriel (nee Andrews) and Bud Correll, she was raised in Hoopeston, IL and graduated from Danville High School.
Beloved mother of Barbara (Mike) Fisher, the late Doris Runnels, Mark (Janice) Albright and Paul (Vedie) Albright. Loving grandmother of Michelle (Brent) Fraser, Michael (Kim) Fisher, Matthew Runnels, Lisa Albright, Scott Albright, Kieree Albright, Kylie Albright, Amy Phillips, Tom (Shanelle) Phillips, Becky (Tone) Valdez and Stephanie (B.J.) Scully. Proud great-grandmother of Madison, Shelby and Payton Fraser, Joe, Kyle, Declan, Mikey and Kooper Fisher, Alexis, Cuay and Kaida Valsez, Mackanzie and Case Scully, and Taylor Phillips. Dear sister of Naomi Blackwell and Vonna (late Lee) Finley, and sister-in-law to Joyce Correll. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth (1989); daughter, Doris (2003); her parents; and brother, Dick Correll
Edna was employed by the Illinois Youth Center, J. D. Brown, and Harper Red Line Trucking Co. She was fondly known as the "Dust Lady" at Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, but not as much as being around her grandchildren. She was also an avid Cubs fan.
Visitation for Edna Albright will be held Monday, September 11, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., at Grace United Methodist Church, Larkin and Avalon Ave., Joliet. Cremation rites will be accorded following services, and burial of her urn will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Grace United Methodist Church, Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County, or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
