“Dan”
Daniel Demos, age 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Joliet, IL on June 6, 1938, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anastasia (nee De Contron) Demos. He retired in 1999 from ComEd as a Public Affairs Director in the Joliet area. Dan proudly served his country with the United States Marines. He enjoyed hunting, golf and fishing and was a member of the Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 51 years, Lois (nee Ruden) Demos; two sons, Greg (Kim) and Matt (Sasha) and three grandchildren, Cameron, Jake and Nate.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Demos.
Funeral services for Daniel Demos will be Monday, September, 18, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, IL to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 102 N. Broadway St., Joliet, IL for services at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Marines. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
