Age 59, of Joliet, IL passed away unexpectedly, Friday September 15, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.  She was born December 20, 1957 to the late Lucille (Macaluso) and Andrew Sughero in Chicago, IL where she was raised, a graduate of Steinmetz High School, Class of 1975.

Cecilia and Joe have resided in Joliet since 1994. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.  She was the consummate party planner, always preparing well in advance of the “event” to ensure everyone had plenty of food, drink and fun.  Life won’t be the same without her; however, we will honor her at all future family get- togethers.  Her kind spirit and friendly nature will live on in our hearts forever.

Mrs. Krug was a proud homemaker to her family. Prior to her marriage, she was a bartender at the Ground Round in Arlington Heights and it was there, on one fateful day back in mid-April of 1982, she met Joe. The rest, as they say, “is history.”

She is the beloved wife of Joseph Krug whom she married April 30, 1983; loving mother of Sarah (Tom) Tyrakowski and Kristen (Parker Lovell) Krug. She is the dear sister of Susan (Gary) Wooldridge; late sister Antoinette (Mike) Bert; and late brother Joseph Sughero; fond aunt of several nieces and nephews and great aunt of two. She will also be missed by Miles, her walking partner and caring canine companion.

Funeral services for Cecilia Krug will be held Thursday September 21, 2017 at the Church of St. Jude, 2212  McDonough St., Joliet, where all friends and relatives can gather from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to the St. Jude Parish Building Fund.  For information, please call (815) 741-5500 or visit her Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
