I worked with Jan for 15 years, most recently as her manager. Everything Jan did, she did with a passion. Jan loved her family, her job, her coworkers, her beloved companion Bode and the White Sox.
She was the best fundraiser and was the epitome of the mission of Presence Health.
Jan always had the welfare of others at the forefront. All I can say is she attacked life with a passion and had a heart of gold.
We will keep Jan's legacy alive by continuing the Veterans Food Drive in her memory.
Please remember her words - 'Plant a seed - grow a garden'
Let's keep her garden flourishing.
RIP Jan, you will be missed

My heartfelt condolences to the Sobun Family. May God rest Jan’s soul in peace and may he give you all the strength you need to cope with this sudden loss. Jan was an amazing colleague and a great friend who was always ready to help everyone around her. She was very enthusiastic about her work and passionate about her family and was especially proud and supportive of her nieces and nephews. Jan was an amazing soul that came to this world to give more and expect nothing in return. It is an honor to have known Jan for past 10 years. I am praying for her and the Sobun Family.

Dear Blanche and Family,
I was so very sorry to hear of Janet’s passing. Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. I remember Janet as always being so passionate about everything. She took such good care of her mom, and always checked in to make sure she was okay whenever we girls went on our road trips.
I remember the time Janet was brave enough to join her mom and her mom’s crazy friends on an evening out to Buca di Beppo’s. Poor Janet, I think we embarrassed her to no end with our antics. Needless to say she never asked to join in again. She was the adult among a bunch of over-aged juveniles.
It was very clear to anyone who knew Blanche that she and Janet had a special bond and a special relationship. My heart is with you and your family at this very difficult time. May you find peace and comfort in each other’s company.
With deepest sympathies,
Karen Pyrz

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies and prayers to Jan’s mom, brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. Jan’s compassion for others and her dedication to service both at work and outside work are truly an inspiration. I have been working as a teammate with Jan for the past 5 ½ years as a fellow lab analyst and I can tell you that there wasn’t a day that went by that Jan and I did not collaborate on issues that impacted our customers and the patients that are served. I will miss our conversations and her passion to make sure that every “T” was crossed and every “i” was dotted. I promise to strive to uphold her commitment to excellence in all that she did and to continue to share and plant small seeds of kindness just to see where they will “bloom and grow.” Jan, I promise your sweet spirit will always be with me. Rest in Peace my dear friend.

Prayers are with the family. We must all remember Psalm 30:5 "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning".
Jan was a joy and a pleasure to be around. As she stated I will plant a seed and see what happens. We saw what happened with that seed it turned into a beautiful garden overflowing with love and kindness.
We are left to keep her in our memories and in our heart and continuing to plant the seeds in the midst of all that we will remember to count everything Joy. Blessings to you all, until we meet again.

I met Jan for the first time about a year or so ago when I started coming out to Bolingbrook 2 days a week. I sat at a desk that I called Highway 55 because it was right at one of those high traffic areas where people passed by to get to their desks. She would always greet me with a very bubbly and pleasant Good Morning. She almost always stopped and chatted with me. We spoke about lunch gatherings, charity events and most important, family. She always would tell me about her mom’s dishes and how delicious they were. I will miss that. Jan, please rest now, you’re in God’s hands!!!!
Your friend, Connie Banks

I remember the day that Jan interviewed with me for the role of Lab Analyst. She was filled with passion about her work and making sure that we always thought about the patient impact. Jan joined my mission team and truly got inspired to lead several now annual events. She did it with a theme and made sure that we not only did mission but we built teamwork and relationships within our IT department. Jan sat right outside my office and was there early so she greeted me every day. She often talked about her nieces and nephews and of course her brothers and Blanche ( her beloved mother) as well as asking me to include them in my prayers. I was saddened to hear this unexpected news but clearly God had a plan to call her home. Please know we will remember her fondly and that you are all in my prayers. May God provide you peace as you mourn your loss. May she rest in piece until we all meet again. My sincere sympathy. Carolyn Searle

Rest in Peace dear Janet. You have left us too soon. You were a wonderful daughter, sister and aunt, always thinking of your family first and yourself last. We will miss all the things you did for us all; whether it was packing your Mom's bag to come to South Carolina, or making sandwiches for Bob for the trip, to making sure your brother John always had food in his fridge. You were one of a kind, and I know you have been given the express lane into heaven.
