Age 68. Passed away Monday, December 1, 2008 in Palm Harbor, FL. Born in Joliet, he was a lifetime area resident before retiring to Palm Harbor in 2006. A United States Army veteran. Former member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #1080. He retired from Equistar Chemical in Morris. Formerly employed by Olin Chemical Company.
Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Joyce E. (nee Hennard) DePodesta; three children, Leslie (Steve) Clapp, Jeffrey (Alishia) DePodesta and Dana Ehli; grandchildren, Natalie, Jordan, Taylor, Ashley, Alexander and Matthew; four sisters, Donna Rae (James) Bloch, Mary Jo (David) Mauzer, Madeline (Anthony) Galobitsh and Jane (Gerald) Kobe; one brother, Paul DePodesta; two aunts, Louise Parthun and Sophia Darin; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frances (nee Naiden) DePodesta.
Funeral Services for Joseph DePodesta will be Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated. Visitation SATURDAY MORNING 10:00 a.m. until time of services at:
