Thomas L. Borio

At the age of 80 passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at the Symphony Nursing Home following complications arising from a stroke. He was born October 19, 1937 to the late Anthony and Marie (nee Fonck) Borio. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Borio and his sister, Marilyn Gregory.

Thomas was a graduate of Lockport Township High School. Tom started working in funeral service for a local funeral home then relocated to Texas for many years before returning to Joliet to spend what would be his retirement.

He is survived by his three loving sisters Janet (the late Richard) Azzaro of Lisle, IL, Judy (the late Jim) Bilek of Ohio, and Margie Swarthout of Plainfield, IL one sister in law, Annamarie Borio and brother in law, David Gregory. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Thomas L. Borio had the greatest of love and admiration for his family and circle of friends. It was his request that a private gathering of family and friends be held and cremation rights accorded.
