Jerry L. Hill

Jerry L. Hill passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at home surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Joliet, IL on December 3, 1948 the son of the late Dale and Phyllis (Brickey) Hill. Jerry was raised and educated in Essex, IL and a resident of Braidwood the past five years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Formerly employed by Stauffer Chemical Plant in Joliet, IL as a Machine Operator and concentrated his efforts in farming in the Morris area. Jerry was a very avid gardener and in his spare time he enjoyed coin collecting.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra (Fiday) Hill of Braidwood; his two daughters, Crystal Hill of Bozeman, MT and Melissa (Dean) Agelson of Las Vegas, NV; his four grandchildren, Taylor and Jacob Agelson and Zeke and Shanna Smith and one great-grandson, Mason Agelson; his brother, Robert (Eileen) Hill and his sister, Kathy Hill both of IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded by his parents and his sister, Karen Soper.

Funeral services for Jerry L. Hill will be Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive, Morris, IL. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name are preferred for future distribution to causes near and dear to the Hill Family.
