Obituary of Ann Dillon
Ann Dillon (nee Low)
Age 65, of New Lenox, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at her late residence. She was born October 21, 1943 in Joliet to the late John and Mary (nee Cummings) Low, and was a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Dillon received a bachelors degree in Nursing from Northwestern University, and earned a masters degree in Education from Governers State University. Her career as a Nursing Instructor began in 1967 at St. Joseph School of Nursing; she retired from Joliet Junior College after serving there for 22 years as a Nursing Instructor.
She was the beloved wife of 43 years to Patrick Dillon; loving mother of Jeffrey "JW", Tracey A. and Michael P. Dillon. Devoted grandmother of Chloe. Dear sister of Peggy (Duane) Mickelson, John (Julia) Low, Tom (Julie) Low and Sharon (Byron) Braswell. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents.
Ann will fondly be remembered as a very thorough and succesful educator. She was a true student advocate who many have described her teaching style as infectious. Her ability to connect with her students was only outmatched by her hard work and dedication to "honing her craft".
