I am so sorry I didn't hear this very sad news until today or the Hennessy's would have attended the service. We grew up next door to the Olson's in Oak Lawn and we all have such wonderful memories of Jeff and his laughter. My deepest condolences to all of the Olson family. I pray that all your wonderful memories will help you through some of the pain. God Bless always!

To Jeffrey's love ones
Even though, I know of no words, to rid you of your pain. May our prayers strengthen us and our memories comfort us. At Isaiah 25:8; 26:19 we look forward, to seeing our love ones again as Almighty God, lovingly promises.

Renee I am so sorry for your loss.
I grew up next door to Jeff and we hung around together for years as kids. We played basketball, went fishing, horse back riding, golfing together. Even drove to the east coast together for vacation. He was a great guy! I will miss him dearly.
Unfortunately my wife Pam and I are in Florida on vacation and we won’t be able to make it to the service. You’re in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely Randy and Pam Stoklosa

Jeff Olson
Where do I start ? 1968 - St Linus 3rd grade. Same age and we always sat close because our last names start with M and O. IGE scores on the wall (achievement) let the world know that we were at the same level. Not the top of the class. We sat in the back laughed and talked all the time. Football, baseball, basketball, golf we did all these things together. After St Linus it was time to go to Marist for 4 years. Same story, sat close talked and laughed about everything. Hung out, listened to music, dated girls, partied, worked on cars and all the thing guys did in the 70’s. But we did it all together. We graduated together in 1979. Jeff went to work for a while and then went to the military. I went to college. We were apart for a couple of years but always called and talked. He came back in 1991. We decided that golfing was the best excuse to sit, talk, laugh and drink. The golfing lasted 10 years. It was time to quit golfing, but the drinking, talking and laughing continued at the bar. 28 years later we sat and talked every other week until today. It was like therapy. We discussed all the challenges of life, families, business, music, sports, vacations and just goofed off.
Jeff was one of the greatest men I have ever known. He was authentic, funny, dependable, loyal, trustworthy, considerate, caring and just an all around good guy.
I will greatly miss my pal of almost 50 years. Today is the first day of the rest of my life after Jeff. We were supposed to have drinks today. Lets all raise our glasses and remember Jeff Olson. I was lucky to have known him.
All my love to his family Renee, Mike, Brian, Nicholas,
Scotty, Cathy, Arlene

Words can not express the grief I am feeling. I couldn't be more heartbroken. I loved Jeff very much. He was like a member of our family. A uncle to my children, a brother to my husband. He was a man that touched many hearts and souls. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. No matter how he was feeling or what he was going through, he always made time to listen to others. He was one of my favorite people in the whole world and I will miss him forever. We were all so very fortunate to have had him in our lives. A truly one of a kind friend. He will forever be looking over all of us.
May god be with you always,
Jane
