Age 44, of Streator, IL passed peacefully at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa, IL Wednesday, January 3, 2018. He was born February 1, 1973 to Jane A. (Ferko) and Russell “Terry” Muscato. Nino was severely challenged since birth; however he could express himself in various ways throughout the years, especially with his eyes, confirming his love of family and those around him. Conversely, he was loved immensely for his presence and pure heart.

Dear nephew of Gail (Dale) Phillips, Beth (Dennis) Pothoff, Mary (Mike) Biros, Kaye (Donald) Koltveit, Gina Muscato (Brent Black); Ron (Sally) Ferko and Ed (Kay) Ferko. Many cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Russell and Jean Muscato; maternal grandparents, Michael and Helen Ferko and two cousins, Aaron Washko and Nigel Elias.
Some of Nino’s hobbies included watching action movies and baseball on TV. His eyes lit up at the sound of the crack of the bat meeting the ball. He also enjoyed riding in the car and walks in the park. He especially loved spending time with his niece and nephew as well as living with his friends at Knox Estates since he was 30 years old. Nino attended Streator Unlimited Day Care Center since 1995.
The Muscato family will always remember the staffs of Streator Unlimited and Knox Estates for their warmth, care and compassion.
