Clarence E. Kelly, Jr.
Age 88, at rest, Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Retired in 1994 from Silver Cross Hospital Laboratory as a medical technologist after more than 30 years of service. Clarence was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Leatrice C. (nee Schauer) Kelly; three children, Sue (Jon) Werger, Karen (Gregg) King, and Paul (Cindy) Kelly; nine grandchildren, Mary King (Troy Felton), Christopher King, Andi (Dave) Thomas, Sarah (Michael) Freeburg, Katherine King, Claire King, Colette Kelly, Amy King, and Joseph Kelly; one great-granddaughter, Kelly Thomas; and one sister, Sr. Mary Kelly, OSF.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. Kelly, Sr. and Mary R. (nee Ferrari) Kelly.
Funeral services for Clarence E. Kelly will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Avenue, Joliet, where visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the narthex until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the United States Army.
