Dorothea A. Broome
(nee Francis)

Age 75, of Joliet, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.  Born in Chicago, she has resided in Joliet for over 20 years, and was a former member of VIETNOW.

Dorothea is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert Broome of Joliet; her son, Mike (Amanda) Broome of Joliet; and her granddaughter, Amelia Grace Broome.

She was preceded by her brother, John “Jack” Francis.

Visitation for Dorothea A. Broome will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet.  Father Chris Groh will officiate.  Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.  Memorials in her name to Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Fund, 1235 S.
