“Joe”

Age 68, of Joliet, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.  Joe was born in Chicago, the son of the late Emmett and Julia (nee Thuot) Ryan, and raised in Joliet.  He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR on TV and was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, proud to “Fly the W”.

Joe is survived by his loving significant other and best friend, Karen Dale; beloved children, Julia (Phil Sellig) Demos and Michael (Heidi Prater) Ryan; step children, Kristin (Patrick) McDonald and John (Tiffany) Dale; grandchildren, Jacob and Jenna Demos, Jaxon Sellig, Anna, Mary, Joseph and James Ryan, and Hailey and Amelia McDonald; sister, Mary “Cassie” (Dave) Fruit; niece and nephew, Christie Strunga and Jeffery Strunga; and great nephew, Ryan Strunga.

He was preceded by his parents.

Funeral services for Joseph E. Ryan will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the Fred C.
