Loren, Deb , David and family
It is with heavy heart that I read about Cathy. Such wonderful memories I have of our times together. She was a great friend and will be missed. Last we talked all she could about was her grandkids! Know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Jeanne

Dear Loren, Deb and Dave,
I'm extremely heartbroken to hear of Cathy's passing. You will never know how much she meant to me. I use to call her my "Work Mom"! I remember the day I interviewed with her for the position at DuPage County. She arrived to greet me and I said, "Hello, Ms. Moe." Her response to me was, "Oh, you can call me Cathy." From the beginning she made me feel comfortable. As she completed the interview she looked at me and said, "Do you have any questions?" My response to her, which I know caught her off guard, was, "So when do I start?" She asked me if that following Monday would work and that started the beginning of, not only, a great professional relationship but also a personal relationship. Cathy never wavered her support for me. I worked under her supervision for twelve years. The day she told me she was retiring I began to plan my exit. At the time I was in nursing school and almost at the completion of it so, shortly after she resigned I too left. Cathy loved you all more than you will ever know. Through her eyes I was able to witness Deb's marriage, Dave's career in Pharmaceutical sales and Loren's knee surgery, among so many other personal life events. Even though I have never met any of you through her eyes I feel like I have known you all my life. I last spoke to Cathy in 2006, when I relocated to Georgia. We spoke about half an hour and mostly laughed about our stories at Psych Services. She was so good to my kids. She baked (Jell-O cake) for them and when my youngest son was born, in 2000, she gave me the ten most beautiful outfits for him. She always was so concerned about Loren. She loved being a grandmother, mother and wife. I will never forget her laugh, support, courage, generosity and most importantly her love. She has left a void in so many lives. It was my privilege to have had a chance to be a small part of her life. Please stay strong and remember all the great things she did for all of us. I will forever cherish her laugh and boy, did we laugh a lot together.
Sincerely,
Vinita Dass
