Maria G. Ramirez

Maria G. Ramirez, of Plainfield, passed away at the age of 67, on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.  She was born on December 1, 1950, to the late Francisca and Rosalio Pacheco in Durango, Mexico.

Maria is survived by her children, Jose (Angelica) Ramirez, Alicia (Enrique) Espinoza and Patricia (Regino) Rodriguez; devoted grandmother of Cristal, Angelica, Karolyn, Emily and Anthony, Jasmine and Sergio, Marco, Dililah, Alex Salvador, Gianna and Sara; proud great-grandma of Jazaline, Sophia, Isabella, Dalina, Giovanni and baby Sebastian due in March; dear sister of Adela Luna and Maripaz Pacheco of Mexico; and was the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews, including Francisco and Guadalupe Luna.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Salvador Ramirez (2016); her parents and siblings.

Maria will be remembered fondly for her love of family and her wonderful gatherings, especially Thanksgiving dinner. Nothing meant more to her than being around family.

Funeral services for Maria Ramirez will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S.
