Obituary of Ann Elizabeth Tozzi

Ann Elizabeth Tozzi, age 96, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.

Born October 11, 1921 in Joliet, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (nee Filak) Marentic.  She married Alfeo L. Tozzi and he preceded her in death May 19, 1990.  Two daughters, Elaine Tozzi and Janet Wilhelmi, and eight brothers and sisters also preceded her.

Surviving are her daughter, Nola (Gordon) Giarrante; her son, Rick (Mary) Tozzi; four grandchildren, Leslie (Mark) Shurson, Matthew (Julie) Rayburn, Brad (Erika) Wilhelmi, and Ann-Marie (Dean) Tomich; and six beloved great grandchildren, Logan, Lucy and Lauren Rayburn, Brandt Wilhelmi, and Mia and Ava Tomich.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Ann’s caring and helpful niece, Susan Polesel, and friend, Bruce Keck.

Private Family Services for Ann E. Tozzi will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
