Aunt Mary was a wonderful woman and we were lucky to know her as our aunt. She was an optimist with a lot of personality and a great sense of humor. She and my mother were close sisters and supported each other through many life events. Moving from Mattoon to Joliet, marriage, motherhood, and more. It was always a noisy, fun time when our two families gathered as there would be 11 children total. We would always beg the parents to let us have a sleepover with our cousins - as if either home needed to add more kids! I also remember her as having a beautiful singing voice.
As you celebrate her life and the loved she shared with so many, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am very sorry not to be there in person to convey my condolences. Aunt Mary was always a faith filled woman and hope she is resting in peace with her beloved Lord.
