Tonya Yvonne Justice
Age 63, of Sulphur Springs, TX, and formerly Joliet, IL, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Tonya was born April 15, 1954, in Terre Haute, IN, to Shirley (nee Ridley) and Jack Phillips. She lived in Paris, IL, as a young child until moving to Clarendon Hills, IL, where she attended and graduated from Hinsdale Central High School, Class of 1972.
Tonya was the beloved mother of Gavin (Monique) Justice and Vincent Justice; proud grandmother of Mason Justice; dearest sister of Randy (Liz) Phillips; and loving niece of Bud (Camille) Ridley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, including Cleo and Charles Ridley, Sr.
Tonya retired from ExxonMobil Chemical after over 30 years of dedicated service. She recently relocated to Sulphur Springs, TX, achieving her dream of “ranch living” and aspiring to offer others healthy living options by creating a wellness center within her home.
While in Joliet, where she resided for many years, Tonya was a paint and wallpaper contractor helping many in the area with home interior projects.
Visitation for Tonya Justice will be held Friday, March 9, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Service of Remembrance beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet. Committal Prayers and Interment will take place on Saturday morning, at 11:00 a.m., meeting directly at Woodlawn Memorial Park Interment Chapel.
