John Kevin Patterson

Age 83, passed away suddenly at his home in Joliet, on Friday, March 9, 2018.  John was born in Marion, IN, on June 3, 1934, to the late George Harry and Louise (nee Welch) Patterson.  He loved computers; it enabled him to keep up with the stock market and surfing the net.  John also enjoyed spending his free time tending to his beautiful flowers and roses around his yard. He retired in 2010 as a Control Manager for Crane Composite.  

John is survived by his children, Christine (Eric) Niccum and Powell (Tammie) Patterson and his three grandchildren, Adam Haynes, Alyssa Grygienc and Ashley Grygienc.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rosemary Woodcox.

A Memorial Gathering for John Kevin Patterson will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at The Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Road, Joliet, from 12:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
