John B. Scott

Age 47, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at his home in Plainfield, surrounded by his loving family.   John was born in Columbia, MO to Keith and Kathleen (nee Bassett) Scott.  He was a graduate of Naperville North High School, Class of 1988 and went on to receive Bachelor Degrees in both Business Administration and Computer Science from Loras College in Dubuque, IA. John worked as a Senior Program Analyst for Office Max.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan.

John is survived by his loving wife and partner of more than 20 years, Michele (nee DeHaven); his step daughter, Corie (fiancé Daniel Cordova) Krisch; his step-mother, Celeste Kosoki; brother-in-law, John (Abbi) Piper; nephew, Jason Piper; niece Katie Piper; three aunts, Barbara Heinzen, Michelle (Thomas) Wessling, and Babette Vogelsang; two uncles, Routley (Scotty) Scott and Wayne (Donna) Scott; his wife’s parents, Joseph and Susan DeHaven; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Bonnie Scott Piper; and his uncles, Jay Vogelsang and James Heinzen. 

A Memorial Service for John B. Scott will be held at a later date.  As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Edward Foundation for Edward Cancer Center, 120 Spalding Dr., Suite 111, Naperville, IL 60540 would be appreciated.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fred C.
