Sister Anne was my sixth grade teacher at St. Patrick's School in Joliet. She made quite the impact on my childhood and I look back on that time with fond memories. Sister Anne was very sweet, compassionate and I never hesitated approaching her if I had a question about something. RIP Sister Anne.

Sr. Anne was my second grade teacher at St. Raymund's grade school. It was she who instructed all 50 of us in that second grade year, and prepared us for our first reception of the Eucharist. I remember very few details of that year, but I remember Sr. Anne as being very young, very pretty, and very kind. We were very fortunate to have such a good and kind sister teaching us in those days.
I remember Sr. Anne placed a paper bag over the water fountain that was in our classroom. We could not drink water or take any food before our first Holy Communion. She was very careful to make sure that we were prepared for our first communion.
I thank God for sending Sr. Anne to us at that time in our lives. Unlike so many who think of their nuns as being tough or strict disciplinarians, I have nothing but warm memories of her. I think she honestly loved us kids. You know when someone loves you, vs. having to teach you. She, like the other Sisters of St. Francis, really cared for us.
God bless and keep you Sr. Anne. You were so good.

Sister Anne, "Annie", you have been my very special friend and Companion Sister for many years. You helped me grow spiritually and as a human being. Our friendship was fun, too. You will always have a special place in my heart and I know you will continue to help me grow and be there for me as you always were. I love and miss you so much, Annie...my Angel Annie.

I was probably a member of Sr. Anne's first "bunch" at St. Ray's. I remember few details, but I recall liking 2nd grade.
