Joann E. Weber
(nee Gleason)

Joann E. Weber passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.  Joann was born in Joliet, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude “Petty” (nee McFadden) Gleason, and was a lifelong resident.  She retired from St. Joseph Hospital as an Ultrasound Technician.  Joann was a member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, serving the church as a Eucharistic Minister and sang in the choir as well as providing many services at the rectory.  She was a dedicated wife and mother who gave of herself tirelessly.  Joann was a very energetic woman, very proud of her Irish heritage.  She was not afraid to accomplish a goal she would set, very loyal person to her family, friends, and employer, never missing a single day of work in over a 30 year career.  

Joann is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Karen) Weber of Glendale, AZ and Patrick (Laurie) Weber of Secor, IL; two daughters, Mary Jo (Bob) Sadalski of Navato, CA and Maureen (Anton Regis) Weber of Tinley Park, IL; nine grandchildren, Brad (Kristen) Weber, Jeff Weber, Maggie (Eric) Lytle, Joanna Weber, Julie (Kristopher) Kleen, Katie (Todd) Husak, Chrissy (Habib) Bentaleb, Patrick (Chelsey) Hayes, and Bridey (Jimmy) King; 11 great grandchildren, Anna and Cadence Weber, Celeste Lytle, Henry, Lucy and Julia Husak, Norah and Cyrus Bentaleb, Evie Ann Hayes, Violet King, and Ben Regis; her sister-in-law, Rita Gleason; and brother-in-law, Glen Masek.  Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded by her loving husband, Norbert “Norbie” Weber (2011); her parents; her brother, Robert “Bobby” Gleason; and three sisters, Mary Fran Hollenbach, Adelaide Blackburn, and Helen Masek.

Joann’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Our Lady of Angels for all their love and compassionate care shown to our mom.

Funeral services for Joann E. Weber will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home Chapel, 1201 Wyoming Ave., Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home would be appreciated.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Fred C.
