John A. Ylisela, Sr.
John A. Ylisela, Sr., of Joliet, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the age of 75. John was born on April 20, 1942 in Warren, OH, the son of the late George and Leone (nee McCullough) Ylisela. He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. John served his community as a K9 Unit Police Officer and developed a special relationship with his K9 partner, Blitz. He was also a private pilot.
John is survived by his two children, Mary Ylisela of IL and John (Veronica) Ylisela, Jr. of CA, and his brother, Robert Ylisela of VA.
All friends and relatives are invited to meet on Monday, April 9, 2018 by 2:15 p.m. at the Public Information Center at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL where full Military Honors will be conducted under the direction of U.S. Marine Corps and Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad at 2:30 p.m. Final interment will follow.
