Obituary of Eka R. Djuwana Cox
Eka R. Djuwana Cox, age 57, passed away peacefully on Friday April 13, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born July 18, 1960 in Jakarta, Indonesia to the late Mary Aisah (Sutedjo) and Paul Djoko Djuwana.
Eka resided in Joliet, Illinois for many years before recently relocating to Crown Point, Indiana.
Surviving are her husband Richard “Sam” Cox; sisters, Rosita, Chitra and Sandra Djuwana.
Some of Eka’s hobbies included reading, attending church and shopping; especially for shoes! She felt blessed to have the ability to interact with so many students over the years as a secretary for the International Education Department at Joliet Junior College. She truly loved and was so passionate about her occupation. Her positive, vibrant personality will always be remembered.
Funeral services for Eka Djuwana Cox will be held Tuesday April 17, 2018 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church 18 N. Woodlawn Avenue, Joliet, IL where all friends and relatives can gather from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 10:30 a.m. As it was Eka’s request cremation rites will be accorded following Mass.
