Jane G. Ward
(nee Korzep)

Age 84, of Joliet, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018, at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.  Jane was born in Chicago on June 6, 1933, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (nee Plantinger) Korzep.  She was a longtime resident of Des Plaines, IL, coming to Joliet in 2016.  Jane graduated from Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School.  She retired from Stewart Warner Instrumentation and Service Co.  Jane was a member of the Moose Lodge in Des Plaines.  She also enjoyed collecting coins.

Jane is survived by her sister, Barbara Grabski of Crest Hill and was the dear aunt of Robert (Lonia) Grabski, Richard (Jennifer) Grabski, Janet (Brian) Giersch, Daniel Grabski, Sharon Vitrllo and David Jones.

She was preceded by her husband, Donald Ward (2013) and siblings, Virginia, Arthur, Alice and Rose.

Funeral services for Jane G. Ward will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 9:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, to Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Ave., Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials in her name to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.  For more information, please call 815-741-5500 or visit her Memorial Tribute at www.fredcdames.com
