Obituary of Irene Christine Perkey

Irene Christine Perkey, age 63, of Paducah, KY, and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Baptist Health Care in Paducah, KY, surrounded by her family.  Irene was born in Chicago, IL, on November 27, 1954.  Irene was brave and fought hard against her cancer.  Unfortunately, her body could no longer hold her beautiful soul and spirit.

Irene is survived by three daughters, Lacy (Thomas) Perkey Podgers of Plainfield, IL, Shanna (Lance) Perkey Rod of Marseilles, IL, and Brittany (Ross) Perkey Lindberg of Paducah, KY; five grandchildren, Kaylee Podgers, Amelia Podgers, Chase Rod, Mason Rod, and Lily Lindberg; her god-daughter, Loretta Mroczka; one sister, Ann Vajgert of Oak Lawn, IL; and the father of their children, Steven Perkey of Roselle, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jozef Mroczka and Mary Zen Swiderski and one brother, Ladek Walter Mroczka.

A Memorial Visitation for Irene Christine Perkey will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C.
