Obituary of Jay Hunter Riley

Jay Hunter Riley, age 69, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Jay was born on February 26, 1949, the son of the late Robert Thomas and Norma June (nee Lubs) Riley in Joliet, IL.  He was a lifelong area resident.

He retired from D’Arcy Motors, and was involved in the car business his entire adult life.

Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathleen M. (nee Lewickas) Riley; daughter, Melissa (Michael) Friscia, three step-grandchildren; siblings, Paul (Lou) Riley, Tom (Joan) Riley and Nancy (Tom) Juhnke; brother-in-law, Chuck (Joann) Lewickas; uncle, Jack (Kay) Riley; aunt, Joyce (Mike) Talbot; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and special friends, Wes Dickson and a second daughter, Tina Sanders and her daughter Cecilia, also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Dale R. Riley, and his wife’s parents Ustin and Josephine Lewickas.

Jay was a car enthusiast and an avid White Sox fan.  He enjoyed spending time in northern Wisconsin.

All friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd.
